*Drumrolls*
Here comes a day once again when my girlfriends are out to roam around Singapore streets to source for good meals!
So last wednesday, hurhur being a fan of wanton mee told me that we could make a trip down to find leney for lunch as apparently,
there is a well-known wanton mee stall around her workplace.
Being a food guru too, wanton mee is definitely one of my favourite local delights so its a must-go!
The wanton mee place is called Foong Kee and is located along Keongsaik road (i kept spelling it keong siak road instead -,- ),
and Hurhur mentioned that it was recently on the papers and was credited to be one of the TOP 5 wanton mees in Singapore.
True enough, i googled just now and it was voted the TOP 1 wanton mee by Lifestyle in fact. hmm.
Here's a pic along keong saik road taken from where we were seated at.
the other direction of us, and yes, we were seated pretty far from the coffeeshop.
my essentials.
Since FoongKee wanton mee is so well publicized,
we decided to make a trip there slightly earlier than the lunch hour to avoid the crowd or to waste time waiting for parking lots.
But surprisingly, there were ample parking spaces and it wasn't that crowded even after we were seated for a while,
but i will constitute that to the fact that there are A LOT of good food around the area (eg. maxwell market, chinatown etc).
The waiting time was a tad delayed though, but like the saying, good things must wait. heh.
Approximately about 15 – 20 minutes later,
finally our wanton mee came!!
Totally can't wait to try Singapore's best wanton mee.
A plate of $3 wanton mee that comes with a bowl of soup with 3 wantons.
Verdict: I would give it 4 outta 5 bea's apples given that I think the texture of the noodles were awfully QQ (bouncy-chewy), uber shiok!
Three of us thought that the sauce could be a bit more tastier though i'm a huge fan of the black-sauce kind of wanton mee. (Never like those with ketchup!)
And the next best part of it was the Char Siew accompanying the noodles, the meat was marinated just so well with their rich honey BBQ sauce,
and the meat wasn't dry yet chewy at the same time. One word – heavenly.
i will definitely go back for it again, and order one whole plate of char siew for myself!!
*Drools*
Char siew is my essential for a plate of wanton mee, Singapore style.
A lot of people there ordered plates of meat as well,
i suppose the meat is one of their highlights too.
If you are a fan of wanton mee, there you go!

Thats the bad thing about working in a place whereby you can access to a lot of good food,
because even when you are feeling full from the meal, you tend to walk to crave for the next sought after food since you know you are near it.
looking at this building…. YESSSS…. KOI!
Crossing the bridge and nearing KOI…
