This entry will sum up the uber short trip to Batam, but frankly speaking there aint much to do there except for bumming at the beaches.
The General Election (GE) is around the corner, and many has told me my Group Representation Constituencies (GRC) is one of the most interesting ones.
Yes, I belong to the Marine Parade GRC, and one side is the People's Actions Party (PAP) – which consists of Goh Chok Tong and of course, the many talk-about Tin Pei Ling (27 year old female candidate).
And they will be running against the opposition party, National Solidarity Party (NSP) – Which consists of Nicole Seah (24 year old female candidate, the youngest).
This time, I have surpassed the legal age of 21 year old, and its time to vote.
I did read and watch rallies done by both sides, and to be frank, I am quite in a dilemma on who should I vote.
A highly discussed topic is of course, the novel appearance of the two youngest candidates for the election in history, Tin Pei Ling & Nicole Seah, and as well as the comparison of the capabilities.
It's interesting to see that they are both running for the same GRC but in opposite teams, and honestly, in the rallies done by both of them, I must say I am pretty impressed with Nicole Seah and her presentations.
She's is aggressive in a way, firmed in her stand, and portrays leadership given with her age, and I do admire her courage, her thoughts process in overall.
Probably the main concern of many is that she's too young to be in the politics industry.
But i still strongly agree by – Maturity doesn't come with age.
Tin Pei Ling, on the other hand, I guess she lacks a bit on the firmness and leadership plus she made a bit of blunders along the way.
But what puts me in the dilemma on the vote is that, in the PAP side, I very much think that Goh Chok Tong has done a good job all along.
A few more days to think about it, and we shall see.

Back to Batam!
The girls and their satisfied manicure!
It costs about 30 to 40 sgd for classic manicure + pedicure in SG, but we only paid sgd $17 for both in batam!
How to resist?!
This was our hotel lobby, looks nice, but it's a lil messy and very smokey!
The room, pretty good, but not exactly 5 star, perhaps a 3-4 star in my opinion.
The washroom.
Our complimentary dinner at the hotel, the food variety was very little, and nah, not one of the best places to eat.
Terence treated us cakes from the restaurant, (with additional charges), and boy, the cakes were horribly awful, hard and tasteless.
Mark, Grace and Tsai Feng.
The whole team!
There wasn't much to do at Batam, and we lost a day due to the uncalled day's tour.
Ended up soaking in the pool, enjoying the facilities of Planet Holiday Hotel.
We settled down at a lounge after searching for a good place to chill at.
The KTV in this hotel charges an exorbitant price – sgd $400 per night, mentioned that we have to spend at least tt amount, which was gazillion billions in rupia, totally terrifying!
But this place wasn't that kind as well,
we spent billions of rupia there, which cost us sgd $200 at least for a couple of hours there.
The next morning, check out time.
My yellow nails, holiday colour!
Amber did gel extensions, and guess how much was it in Batam?!!!
It's usually $100 + in SG, and she did them for sgd $28 only!!! Friggin worth it!
That marks the end of Batam Trip, as you can see, it was pretty much paying the money to stay at a Hotel there when we could have easily used the money to stay in a luxurious hotel in Singapore.
I suppose I wouldn't visit there anytime soon, and instead, try Bintan next time round!
