G2000 Winter/Fall Collection

Poots and I in the studio getting ready for the G2000 Shoot.

We had a chance to get to shoot for the G2000 Winter/Fall Collection recently,
and I am loving their new range of apparels!
Especially the winter jacket and the studded top that I was assigned to wear,
looking real effortless gorgeous.

We had our make up done by this professional who always freelances for SPH.
and I like they way she does make up,
should have gotten her contact!

Poots doing her make up first.

All sorts of brand.

I like my usual pair of shoes and here is the new jacket I got from pearlavish.
The cutting of it is really pretty and i like the flap in front.

We could pick outfits that best represents what we like here.

Shoot was simple and we went over to Ann Siang Hill for a few snapshots at night.
Dinner was at this place that serves great pull-porked and ribs and it was my second time back there.

In anycase,
watch out for us (and yalin shot too!) in STYLE Magazine November Issue! :D

Here's another green dress that is by pearlavish,
and with a simple blazer you will look smart for work and presentations too. :)

Black Sheep Cafe

Birthday means full of eating,
and a high dosage of sweet stuff for a couple of days.

I was gladly overwhelmed by the sweet cakes from the friends and family,
and now i need to loseeee weight, so friends please help me by stuffing me with less food. :p
Here're some piccas for the past week!

Preparing to head out in my new mesh top dress from The Tinsel Rack.

Comes with a sash, but i kinda like to wear my belt outside the jacket.

Zihui gave me a lil surprise after my finance class. :) )

Wearing a new summer dress from The Tinsel Rack for the birthday lunch!

And the great thing about birthdays is you get to catch up with friends,
enjoy the time and talk about anything under the sun over an awesome meal.
Plus, you get to check out new places or visit your favourite places.

But well, we love to explore new places and here's one that the dear girls researched on,
and woohoo! It's great and extremely unique.
Read on to find out.

This cafe is called the .
Situated at a narrow street beside a Mosque at 35 Mayo Street and somewhere near The Verge (Shopping mall) at little india,
it is a small French & European casual cafe that one could miss it upon walking along the street.

The first amazing thing I stepped into the whole cafe was that,
it is opened and solely owned by ONE Indian chef,
As simple as it is, there is only him and another indian waiter who operate the business everyday.

Their last order was 2pm and they close at 3pm to take a short break before dinner,
and fortunately dear yalin called to request them to wait for us as we were running late.

Furnishing was simple, kinda on the monochrome theme,
but i kinda enjoyed looking at the antiques and the paintings hanging around.

it would have been better if there were soft music playing at the background to enjoy the delicacies,
and I am wondering how does the restaurant look at night..

The two dear girls that specially arranged this lunch for me! <3333

Linny love <3 and a tired looking me. :(

Hungry us waiting eagerly for our feast!

And finally the food is here!

Appetizer- Cheese Brie
SGD $12.90

This is definitely perfect for you if you are a cheese lover,
there is great abundance of cheese oozing out upon cutting it,
and the top layer is filled with a thin layer of crisps!
We love the sides- frozen fruits that came with this dish!

But i kinda thought it wasn't worth $12.90 for that small portion.

Appetizer- Foie Gras

I love love love Foie Gras,
I know its a sin to eat this, and kinda inhuman,
but it taste sooooooo goood.

Main- Lamb Shank
SGD $23.90 (if i didn't remember wrongly)

Introducing my favourite of the day, I love this lamb shank the most.
Comes in a huge portion, and drenched in a whole lot of rich brown sauce,
it tasted just as good as it looks.

The best part was their tender marinated meat, and they are definitely generous with this whole dish.

Main – Sliced Beef for the set lunch
SGD $16.50

This was good too, love the sauce and the pan fried crispy potatoes!

Main – Duck Confit
SGD $22.90

Yalin told me this was the recommended dish by many upon visiting the black sheep cafe,
but i thought it was a lil dry, probably it wasn't accompanied by any sauce.
The meat was tender and juicy though, and the rosti was an absolute great side dish as well.

Try this cafe if you are looking for a cosy lil french cafe without a pinch in the wallet.

THE BLACK SHEEP CAFE
35 Mayo Street
(opposite sim lim towers)
They are opened from Monday to Saturday.
Time: 11.30am to 3pm & 6.30pm to 11pm.
For reservations:92721842 62925772

And here's what the dear girl, linny made for me. <3

With great effort and love, linny is one of the kindest and sweetest souls on earth,
no doubts about that., :)

Love you my dear girl!

Loved, loved, loved.
That's all i need to know :)

Happy Birthday Oct Sevens!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!

It's past 12am!
I had a crazy week rushing assignments and mugging for tests, (and for upcoming test),
but nevertheless, the groupie made the weekend an awesome and funfilled one by giving the october babies in the group a fabulous surprise!
Thank you for each and everyone for the wishes for this 22nd,
and it feels really loved and blessed to get each's greetings,
especially from everyone in the groupie!! D

Happy Birthday to the three of us in the group, Joseph, Yixiong and Myself!

And not to forget, Happy Birthday to the friends who share the same birthday as me too,
Jon the big brother, Justin my TP buddy, Terence (Mr Lim) from SP but known from TP, Yanny from Majolica, Claire (Ms chong) and Hilde from NUS! :)

And look what came in time for birthday dinners!

I love the electric blue and the bandaged part of this toga (yes my favourite!!) dress,
all the way complimentary from Megagamie (thank you verra!)
and i wore this for one my birthday dinner last week!

Denim is in the trend too.
What's great is i can eat buffet with this dress (and I did! hahaha),
and yet the design helps to accentuate your waist line.
Best in both worlds!

And need I mention more about this?
HIGH WAIST totally rocks, and I had a really hard time deciding which colour to get cuz i know i will wear it often.
and teehee, i actually got two colours from them! love it love it!
Check out more colours from Megagamie!

Taiwanary Day 5- Union At Ximending

It was the last second day at Taiwan,
and here's another entry on it.

Have you tried the Beef cup noodles that countless people actually shipped cartons of it back?
I tried it the first time my poly mate, Pin wen gave me one to cheer me up during one of those days in poly,
and i was totally hooked on it.

It's everywhere in Taiwan and be sure to try it or get your friends to buy back for you!

Look at what comes inside, real beef cubes!!

Our day 5 started early because we met up with Applepie at Ximen!
Applepie and Joseph went to Taiwan a day later than us,
but they travelled to else where first before coming to Taipei.
So we could only spend the last 2 days with them.

We decided to go for elements of RED. Guess why?!

Because it was National Day eve in Singapore,
and we wanna post something on facebook with us in Red on National Day. hahaha
Guess it would have been more obvious if its a red top of something.

And finally, we met them right smack in Ximending.

OTW to lunch

We popped by Ah Zhong Mian Xian again for pipping hot and delicious mee sua

Looking at it makes me wanna eat it now. grrrrr

Drinks to accompany our meals are always, bubble tea!

Love this chain of bubble tea brand!
And we didn't realise that the guy behind was doing this until when we looked through the photos back in singapore.
Furthermore, this was taken before we bought
and i remembered vividly that he was acting as though he was very busy making drinks back at the counter.

<3

So another thing that we ought to try in overseas is to catch a movie.
Surprisingly, shows were rather updated in comparison to Singapore and we caught SALT by Angelina Jolie there.
Bought tickets way in advanced for our midnight movie as we were gonna be separated for the whole afternoon.

At their entrance.

We went separate ways after lunch with poots, shawn and me heading to meet out new friends for a tour at a different place!

Getting train tics. Our new hats and shawn's new shirt.

We got lost at Taipei Main Station because in order to reach our destination,
we have to change to the railway train and not to another MRT.

This machine is definitely confusing.

Finally, so many tickets for 3 of us.

Cool, 7-eleven cart right inside the train station.

Yup we were going to QI DU!

In the train..

Can you sense its somewhere further?

This was where we were going to meet our new friends,
but wait, its not here we are visiting, its JIU FEN!!!

So the new friends were really kind to offer to drive up all the way to Jiu fen,
and weee they brought their dogs along.
it was quite a common scene to see people with dogs all around.

Stay on to see all the wonders of Jiu Fen,
So many goodies there and we had a night full of food delights!

I was looking for an outfit to hang out near the beach one day,
and thought that Toga need not necessarily be the glam up outfit,
but versatile to be a casual day out too.
Especially with this tone of shade and the material,
and not forgetting the gathers at the sleeve ( l love the gathers!)
it can definitely be of good use for both dressed-up and casual occasions.

Toga from Dandzelia! :)

What more with dresses that I can't get enough of,
easy, convenient to wear, but not looking too easy for any event,
teehee, how about this one that comes with a design of a lace top part and a "waist belt"?! :)
Looking complete with the outfit and helps to accentuates your waist line.

And remember the movie that I urge you guys to catch it?

YES, CHARLIE ST. CLOUD IS ON SCREENS NOW!!!

Hurry book your tickets before the cinemas go full!
And remember the mini contest here?
You can email your Name, Contact No, Age and a screenshot of your facebook page with your post shared to [email protected] for the mini contest! :)

Random

I have something real cool to share.
And this has to do with the usual gang that I'm certainly blessed to have and be with.

Here's a cover on what you can expect,
and what we did in the party.
We took gazillion pictures and look at how how how spontaneous everyone are.
Guess who's the principal, class teacher, the notorious students and the funky students? :b

No matter what they are,
They are the ones whom you can say FriendsForever. :)

Will be back for more!

Thinking hard of what to put on for a dinner somewhere nice but not too posh,
I thought going with a simple dress with a bit of accessories will do the trick.
But well, instead, its even simpler and more convenient that that-
a white dress somehow flowy dress with studded front that compliments the design of the dress well,
simply saves all the hassle of putting together what to wear.

Just a watch and you are off to go!

I had my next favourite kind of design as well- the off shoulders!
Girls probably should have a couple of off-shoulder tops or dresses in their wardrobe,
they gives a bit of the bare feel but not too much,
what more, this is of flora and corset! Something unique.

These two are with the courtesy of Dadigirl. :)
